Conventional oil or synthetic?
I've never messed with synthetic in any of my vehicles, but since the GZ250 is air cooled I've been thinking about going synthetic. Might be able to go longer between changes that way. Any thoughts?

There has been a lot of discussion on here about synthetic oil.
http://www.gz250bike.com/viewtopic.php?t=566 It makes shifting smoother and probably protects engine components better than dino oil. |

Right now I'm using Mobile 1, MXT4 (or something like that) motorcycle oil, 10W40. Next change, think I'll change to their "V-twin" variety, since it is supposed to be formulated for air cooled engines. Doubt that there is really much difference though. See these for some REALLY good info. on synthetic oils: http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Oils1.html http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Consumables.html#Oil
