Filters (oil and air)

Filter recommendations?

Is K&N worth it, or should I just stick with brand X? There's a guy on eBay who's got a 3-pack of the oil filters for $16, free shipping. No brand of course.

Badbob has a post on here about using just about all of the filters available for the GZ250 and his thought is that they are all just about the same, except they have differently colored filter media.

I have a K&N in there right now. Of course I can't tell a difference; it's just an oil filter.

I'd buy up all of the brand "X"s that I could and have a surplus.
I wouldn't spend the extra dough on a K&N agian, unless that brand name helps you feel like you have a better product. It doesn't help me.

A good bit of experience tells us............that you probably should NOT try to us a K&N (or other high-flow) AIR filter because it screws up the carb. tuning. See threads here about carb. mods. and power gain.
