Removing the CA EVAP system

So instead of getting a new carburetor for 350 I decided to just remove the EVAP system entirely. So does anyone know what I should do? Do I just rip out the canister and plug up the the fitting under the tank that the evap trails to? Just making sure I'm not forgetting anything.

Just plug the fitting to the tank. No need to remove the canister.
