Tire question
Hi all. I have done the research and am familiar with Jonathan's excellent post listing all the tires available for the GZ. However, at 12,000 miles, I finally took the bike in to have both tires replaced. The dealer said he couldn't find a front tube type tire. I mailed him a snapshot of Jonathan's post, but he said we can only put a tube type tire on the bike. I think he said he has seen problems with non tube tires on these bikes.
So, for now, I just got the rear tire changed (which was in the worst shape), with the Pirelli Route 66. What can I do about the front? :??: Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Re: Tire question
For GZ, even on tubeless tires they put tubes because of spokes. Now most tires are tubeless so just add a tube on any tire that you get. I have Continental Ultra TKV 11/12 (110/90-16). I recently replaced a rear tire after 3 years and the tube was still new and good and I never had a flat tire so I used the same tube and even the mechanic agreed. I saved $14 on tube and bought the upgraded (expensive) tire that was $15 expensive.
