Neutral light stays on always

Just bought a 2003 gz. Have already dealt with many issues, new battery, replaced fuel hose, fixed choke, cleaned carb, replaced horn. My last issue, other than rust, is that my neutral light stays on. Anyone know how to fix?

Wow that's a new one.

Probably the neutral switch is broken or stuck. It's located somewhere I've never been, near/under/behind the front sprocket, see user manual section 3-11.

I hope someone else posts with more useful information.

Re: Neutral light stays on always

Thanks for clueing me in on where to look. It's easy to find neutral on this bike. I might leave this fix for later. Its pages 3-11 and 3-58 in service manual if anyone else has this problem.

I just walk up to my bike and say "HEY, whose side are you on anyway?"

It replies "Comeon dude, you know I'm neutral - don't want to get involved!" And the light goes green.

I'd turn green too if you showed up armed and carrying your badge.

I doubt you are really mean at all. Maybe a little prickly if some one annoys you though.

If it was on the job you could have arrested them. I once watch a Sargeant pull a guy out through a window and toss him in a police van for calling him a postman and a few other impolite things.
