News, for better or worse.

Got a letter from Ford today saying congrats on finally paying off the Ranger. That makes it official.
Secondly the Vstrom is on Craigslist in the Vancouver area for 4400 bucks. We will see how that goes. And no I don't have a replacement in mind. I will wait and see if the bike sells first. Next year I might kinda sorta maybe snoop around for something if the desire to keep riding is alive and well. The desire this year is at an all time low and I can walk by the bike and never even glance at it.

How does one just stop wanting to ride at a blink of an eye ? Just curious.

RR, it hasn't been in the blink of an eye. It may seem so but the desire has been fading for some time now. It could be I am done with riding or done with the Wee bike. I honestly have no idea what I would get as a replacement if the desire is there next year to get back on 2 wheels. The Wee has been an excellant ride and friend. Trouble free and not expensive to own. There has never been any doubt in 7 years that it would let me down no matter where it was pointed. 50 kms for coffee or 5,000 kms for a road trip is all the same to the bike. Any other bike will find it a tough act to follow in my opinion when overall cost and satisfaction come into play.

Re: News, for better or worse.

Try a nice 250 or larger scooter.

Easy and fun with quick access to riding.

Twist and go.

I have actually spent a lot of time on scooter forums just to get a feel for them. Sat on a few in the past too. Sorry but A scooter wouldn't do it for me. Need the tank where it should be to grip with the knees and from what I have read a scooter is going to be a little too much maintenance and tupperware for my likings. Twist and go would be fine but the time consuming exercise is getting all geared up to twist and go.
The 400 Burgman would be an ideal scooter with it's humongous storage under the seat. That said, scooters just seem to cost too much compared to almost anything else on the road.
