Leaking O-Ring

I am leaking oil from the inspection cap. I was told this would be caused from a bad o-ring. The problem is that the closest susuki dealer is 77 miles away, and to order the o-ring will be 20$ in shipping for a 3 dollar part. I do have a honda dealer here, is there a compatable oring I could buy, would anyone happen to know the part number?

This is an invaluable resource for finding replacement parts.

Worst case scenario, you'll just pull the O-ring and take it into another bike shop and see if they can match it.

You could also just tighten the nuts up and see if that will hold back the oil seepage a bit.
Even taking the O-ring off and flipping it over and retighening everything can work in a pinch.

This o-ring is the shape of the inspection cover.Not your standard round o-ring.

Who would have thought, but that worked. The o-ring was actually dirty aswell, wiped it off, flipped it over, no leak. thanks.

Maybe not even temporary.....

That would melt and turn to goo as soon as the engine heated up. I wouldn't want that in my head.

Hahaha, true, i didnt think about that. I used to do that on certain parts of of plumbing jobs.
