Kind of strange how the fork would break just by doing a stoppie. I bet he had the wheel over to the side first and it got overstressed, and when the pic was taken and he lurched forward when the wheel turned, the bars got straightened out. Anyway, too bad, but that would have been a sight to see, and the developing expression on his face before it got rubbed off on the asphalt.

The bike has a cage on it to protect it when stunting and crashing.. The bike was probably abused too many times and the forks weakened till they went south. Usually stunting bikes have dead engines after a while from oil starvation doing wheelies. Expendable toys for big boys.

I actually did a stoppie one time accidentally when trying out a friend’s GSX. I was used to riding my “67 and wasn’t ready for all the front brake after using cable pull front brakes on my bike. Just glad I didn’t trash it. Everyone thought I did it on purpose and gave me a round of applause. Guess they didn’t know I had to go change my pants afterwards! :oops:
