Modifications so far!

OK. So far I’ve added the 125 Kawasaki shocks, cut the stock fenders, added a drag muffler, 132 main jet, shimmed my diaphragm needle and adjusted my idle mixture after removing that damn plug. $27 for the shocks, $25 for the spare carb, $35 muffler, $25 drag bars, $28 stop light, and jets free “Plug for Interstate Cycle, Cornelius, NC”. Welding/cutting/fabrication work 2 cases of beer “Plug to B2 Design, Mooresville, NC”. Runs like a scalded ape up and down the drive. Just did get it into second but it is defiantly a different bike. Stubby air cleaner, 140 main jet, and a 16T front sprocket and header wrap and sissy bar to go. Got to do something with that front fender too. Just doesn’t look right but going to wait until the new tire so I can fit it right. 130/90-16 front and a 150/90-15 rear tire and seat and it’ll be on the road. Just a little worried about a 150/90 for the rear though. I can modify the brake support arm for clearance, but it’s going to be close on the chain side.

Re: Modifications so far!

Gotta feeling you might have to hide the key from a certain family member. How does she like the GZ so far?

I think she like it! Working on her DR tomorrow. She helped me pull the carb apart today.

The Kawi shocks are shorter so they actually lower the rear of the bike. Lowering the rear will also change the steering geometry a bit. The bike will be more stable in a straight line and a little more effort is needed to initiate a turn.
