Dot 3 vs Dot 4

Our bikes are supposed to take Dot 4 brake fluid.

I have some Dot 3 brake fluid. Research shows the biggest different is Dot 4 has a higher boiling point.

Can I use Dot 3? Thoughts?

Go with fresh DOT 4 in a new container. An opened previously container of any brake fluid may contain water. The fluid is hydroscopic and loves water. It will suck moisture from the air if given a chance.

Do you really wanna be the one of us to find out whether or not dot 3 brake fluid has a high enough of a boiling point not to leak out under the stress from the brakes on the GZ all in one shot or while riding and not at the shop where the brake fluid is?

I dont wanna be that guy and I do know that the reason that you want to replace your brake fluid as often as you do and always use a fresh sealed container is as Water Warrior has said, It is like a sponge it sucks up water and as we all know water has a extremely low boiling point in comparison.
