My Inaugaral Ride!

After many practice rides in the hood.....I finally took a ride in the hill country! It would have been a perfect ride, had I not almost rear-ended my husband.

Re: My Inaugaral Ride!

Welcome to the family. Bike looks good with a smiling rider onboard.
If you almost hit the hubby you are following to close or not paying attention. It is okay to leave a good distance between the 2 of you. He won't leave you behind, trust me. Is hubby teaching you to ride ? If so he will teach you to ride and also teach you his bad habits whether he thinks he has any or not. You should probably take a rider training course if you haven't already. It is the best way to learn to ride. Pick up a copy of Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough. It is worth it's weight in gold and the best health / survival insurance a rider can buy.
Also, where did the crash bars come from ? Inquiring minds want to know.

Here ya go Water - Barons Full Size Chrome Engine Guards for Suzuki GZ250 (99 - 09).

To the OP. You look good on the bike with a great big smile. Listen to WW about the training course and book. It's great advice.

Re: My Inaugaral Ride!

I like your bike. Congrats on hitting the roads. I love hills and curves. Ride safe! Maybe you should ride in front of your husband. LOL

Re: My Inaugaral Ride!

Great looking bike! Don't be afraid to practice your slow speed riding now and again. I find it a good way to keep in touch with your bike. Also check out the "Lessons Well Learned" forum on this board. Safety is emphasized a lot here, a lot of newer riders learn their skills on the GZ, like me. As for rear ending your husband, keep your hostilities home, ok? We want you to stay safe..
