bike won't run right

my bike won't run unless i hold the brake pedal down. also, when the blinker is on, the bike surges with power with each flash.

These two seem connected. Hold the brake pedal down = stop light lit. Surges with each flash = indicator light lit.

This is weird. Sorry I don't have a solution. :??:

If this is a new to you bike the previous owner mighr have munged up the electrical system. More info please, year, new to you, mileage etc. It is possible some insulation is worn through on some wiring and making contact with the frame.
