Duffy Lake.

I have posted pics of Duffy Lake before but today I made a special trip for more. 280 km or 174 miles round trip was just about right for an afternoon ride.

Re: Duffy Lake.

oh boy! I REALLY want to make that trip this season! How do you think the little GZ will do on that road, WW?

BTW, I'm bringing the family up to Whistler on Saturday. I'll wave as we motor by in the Safari.

Re: Duffy Lake.

Cayuse, the GZ will do very well except on a couple long grades where there is a power shortage. Other than that you will really enjoy the entire road and the use of your skills to make the ride even more fun.

Re: Duffy Lake.

That is some beautiful country up there. Just moved from the "Ozark Mountains" which are really hiils, back to the flat litter box called Florida. Since all we have here is sand I'm thinking of finding knobby tires for my GZ

Re: Duffy Lake.

Good for you. I am still waiting for some reasonable weather that will last more than 5 minutes.

Re: Duffy Lake.

You should do what thousands of Canadians do....come to the Myrtle Beach area of SC, USA for the winter. I guarantee you'll be able to ride most of the winter.

Knobby tires will make a difference in sand for sure. The bigger the knobs the better but beware of regular roads. You will get a little rougher ride and less tire milage. And try to avoid any steel decked bridges or surfaces especially when wet. The bike will also do it's little dance on a grooved road. It won't fall but will wiggle a lot under your butt.
