What lifetime?

I have a GZ250 with 5800 miles, has had oil changes when indicated by the owners manual and seems to run very well. I would like to know about how many more miles do I have left before she runs out of power... what is the average lifespan of this kind of engine/motorcycle? :rawk:

Well, I know for a fact that theres people around here who have 15k+ miles on theirs. Personally, I have a 2002 with 10k and she runs as good as the day she left the showroom floor (better actually, considering the upgrades i've done). With proper maintenance, having crucial parts replaced due to wear, etc, theres no reason the engine shouldnt run just about forever.

Go join the yahoo groups about the GZ250. A guy there that goes by Patrick Henry has over 40,000 on his. He rode his from Florida to Alask and back loaded with gear.

He doesnt only go by Patrick Henry, that is his actual name. He also has a Ninja 250 he rides all over too. I met him back in May and I think I talked his ear off about the Alaskan trip. Very cool.
