Turn signal indicator (below the speedo)

How do you get to this bulb which is just below the speedo? Mine doesn't come on when I turn on my blinkers. I want to replace it.

I tried pulling on the rubber tube that's underneath it, but I don't want to break anything.

Actually you need to pry the lens off with the crome ring that's around it.
I use a very small regular screwdriver. I also use (with a light touch) a pair of needle nose pliers to get the bulb out, and reinstall the new one.

That is one tricky location for that bulb... how did you get needle nose pliers in there? I wonder if there is any better tool for this...

Once you get the lens off you can pull the rubber housing out of the housing and gain better access to the socket. Just reverse the process when going back together with it. I went thru this when my bike was new. Must have blown 3-4 bulbs in a very short time frame. the problem actuall fixed itself, have'nt had to put a bulb in for over 2 years now. oops, Jinxed myself.

Yeah, I got that part. It's the reaching down the rubber housing that's giving me trouble. I tried needle nose pliers yesterday, but wasn't able to pull it out... I'm scared of crushing the bulb, because then I'll be screwed.

Those 194 bulbs are a lot tougher than you think. See if you can "roll" the rubber housing down around it or push the pig tail up thru the rubber.

Tweezers and tape; double sided works the best; tiny little pieces to get a good grip on the bulb.

OK, got it done, except that I just realized I used a 168 bulb instead of 194.

Is the other bulb bright enough to see ? If it is then leave it. If it is not as bright and harder to see then you will know how to do a R+R.
