Re: So. Cal Members Status Track for the Storm...

I bailed and headed off to the balmy weather of Chicago IL for the week. My back and front yards are flooded, but not to the point where it's gonna come in the house (I have pre-shaped my postage stamp size property for drainage to the street - one side I just paved with concrete and the other is carved like a river basin) I got a concrete tile roof I had serviced a few times and so far no leaks or loose tiles. We planted many trees and other root-y type shrubberies and stuff all over the hillside in the back so the dirt there is well-held (plus I have a 2.5 foot retaining wall that goes down about 4 feet into the dirt.) So, I think I am good unless The Big One hits.

I'm good. I'm in the 6th floor of an office building overlooking the the Long Beach Airport, so I'm getting a good look at these storms as they blow through. Things at home are fine too. The water level in my pool has gone up at least 4" inches as of this morning. Haven't had to use my lawn sprinklers for over a week now and probably won't need to for the rest of the month. Missing my Nighthawk though. Not enough to ride it in this weather and traffic though.

I thought today was supposed to be the worst day--equal to the last days combined. Not turning out that way so far.

No, it will probably be Saturday, which was supposed to be clear, but won't be, because I have tickets to the U.S. Soccer vs Honduras game.

Glad, you are O.K.
Rain went down, but wind get stronger today...
Some thunder and lightining tonight.
