Re: Chart for those interested in modifying your ride
You're gonna die.........
As you know I rode this Death Trap for almost 10 years. Hell, I never had an accident until I started riding a "normal" Yamaha Roadstar cruiser!! :poke2: O_o :neener:

Re: Chart for those interested in modifying your ride
I like the look of the death trap. Having never ridden a chopper (but I've seen lots on the various TV shows, and of course, Easy Rider [the movie]) can somebody explain the appeal besides the supercool look?
It doesn't look like they change the height of the bike, and it seems like cornering or turning of any kind would be more sensitive - is the appeal strictly looks or are there advantanges?

Re: Chart for those interested in modifying your ride
Thanks Alan. It was lowered in the rear 2-1/2" (10" rear shocks)and had a 52 degree total rake (13 degrees added to stock) & 10" over length fork tubes.
The longer wheelbase gives a great ride, but it did take two lanes to turn it around. Cornering just takes getting used to, nothing more. But it really is mostly about STYLE.

Re: Chart for those interested in modifying your ride
Both bikes are a result of care and attention to detail. Very nicely done........Ah Dupo, you missed one on the chart. Yellow is bad. Will distract the cagers from their cells and cause them to crash into each other while trying to avoid the bright thing on the road. Criminal charges could be laid against you.

Re: Chart for those interested in modifying your ride
Image fixed .. added mirrors and yellow paint
Sarris .. yes the rake kit. Morton's is the only one i know that sells/fabs front ends like that ... that long i should say. Pricey too ... $1799 per kit. I would have loved a 9 degree with over tubes. but not for that price. |

Re: Chart for those interested in modifying your ride
Hey Dupo, look at this site.
VLX Chopper I know it's not your bike, and it's a bit flat as shown with 8" tubes, but with 10's or 12's, it could be really ht. What a deal for $1700!! :rawk:
