Re: Got my M1 today...
Thanks guys. I went out riding at night tonight just cause I could. One thing I noticed is it is easier to remember to turn the #@#$ blinker off because the flasher is a lot more prominent at night.
Also getting a little cockier on the bike. In some ways this is good. If I was all clenchy every time I went out, I couldn't see sticking with it. In other ways, I suspect complacency leads to costly mistakes. I'm aiming for a balance between the exhilaration of bombing down the open road and exercising caution at the appropriate points. Still have a long way to go skills wise, but a lot more of it is getting automatic. Should have done this years ago.

Re: Got my M1 today...
I haven't been out at night yet. I'm kinda nervous about that. Especially seeing as I have a black bike, black jacket, black Helmet, black boots, etc.
Oh that brings me to a related question. Can you see the speedo at night? I mean does it light up or do the street lights provide enough illumination to allow you to see it? I guess I could leave the bike on when I get home and turn out the garage lights and see what happens.
