seat modification

I had had enough of my sore arse, and I bought some leather.

I removed the seat, and then the upholstery. I removed the added padding that I had previously put on my seat.

I took the original suzuki pad and first using an exacto knife cut off the back portion of the cushion. I then hollowed out the middle of the seat where my arse usually is located. I added 1.25" foam rubber, and on top of that I took an office chair cushion and cut in the shape of the seat.

Then I stapled the leather over that combination and set off on a 2 hour ride. It isn't perfect but man it is so much better. I think the biggest change is cutting the back off the seat off so it isn't rubbing on my tail bone. I now have the seat perfectly level front to back. It still had my rear end aching a little but I could get off the bike, and back on in 5 minutes and be pain free. I could feel the seat rebound after hitting a bump, instead of botteming out and staying there.

Sorry about no pictures will try to get some posted as soon as I can. :2tup:
