NATE'S 2006 GZ250

Just thought that I would share a picture of my modded gz. Wanted to get away from the harley look and more towards the brit bike/bobber style. The fenders are stock but drastically reshaped as well as the relocated tailight. 2" rise bars, recovered seat with an added 1" padding, raised end of tank 1/2" to level with saddle, single round mirror(stock hardware), shorter turn signals, no decals, removed all chrome dressup parts, 16t front sprocket, tag bolted onto chainguard. Total cost was less than $80.00! Now for future performance mods, any ideas to share here? Look forward to your comments positive or negative and love to share how to do this yourself. Have more photos if anyone is intersted. NATE

I must say, for less than 80 bucks, thats awesome! Really does change the look of the GZ. You are more than welcome to post any of your 'how to' in our designated section. I am sure many of the members here would appreciate it. I would be really interested in how you reshaped the fenders.

By the way, that bike would look really neat flat black

As for performance...isnt really much you can do to the 250cc motor on these. Other than the needle shim and changing the pipe (see the how to section for both of these). Other mods can include lowering the bike (lower shocks or hardtail it), wider tire, bullet headlight....things like that.

Looking forward to more of your pics and whatever else you can post up about what you did to your bike. Great work so far!

Yes, look under the box where you type your post "Add image to post".

Browse for a pic and it will 'auto add' your image to the post. Then just simply hit 'add image to post' again and again until you are done.

Hey, I just noticed, that you removed the chrome covers on the sides of the engine near the cylinder head. Like it better this way. I was wondering what it looked like under there.
Guess I'm a little slow.........
