New, but having fun in Florida

I am fairly new to the street end of motorcycles, but after all the required training by the U.S. Army I am feeling pretty good about it. I ride about 90 miles round trip with mine when weather permits. I am part of the team of soldiers (OC/T) that train our deploying soldiers to Army standards before departing to Iraq or Afghanistan. I look forward to talking with all of you about my (scooter). Everybody on Post has a much bigger bike. I say tell me where yours goes that mine won't.

Welcome to the forum's Roy. Always glad to have new rider's join this ever growing club.
I know what you mean about larger bikes, it seems like it has to be a crotch rocket, or 100 cu inches around here. See you out there.

Welcome roy.pickle,
First, let me say as a former battleship sailor, (USS WISCONSIN BB 64) thanks for the dedication. Second, a fair warning that anything said about larger cc bikes on this forum will probably lead to a bashing of anything that's not a 250cc bike.(or so it seems) You will soon learn from this site that all sportbike riders wear shorts and flip-flops, you can't get a ticket, you will never wreck, and you never ever have to put gas in these things.  Enjoy the GZ, it's a great bike. Yes, all motorcycles serve the same purpose. Some of them just have to be bigger to serve that purpose for certain individuals.

SAY WHAT ?? :??:

Did you forget WHICH 250cc forum you are posting in ??
I think quite the opposite is true, in fact.

Everybody is welcome; you reap what you sow.

Easy is right, I don't know of anyone on this site that bashes people with a bike other than the GZ. Hell, I have two HD's as well as the GZ, and the only comments and queries I've recieved were positive. We even have a couple of Nija owners who hang out on this site without issue!

I think you are confusing us with the Ninja 250 site.

You should read this topic. http://www.gz250bike.com/viewtopic.p...078&highlight=

Remember, It's not what you ride, it is the ride.

And to Roy, Welcome Brother.

What I am talking about is exactly what just took place in this thread. The guy made the comment that the his bike could go where any of the bigger bikes could. That's all he said. What that somehow led to was your comment that they would also be headed for a single vehicle accident quicker, and to the courthouse quicker. That's all I was talking about. It was a lighthearted joke, but I guess I'm not to good at relaying my intentions to the keyboard. Maybe I should put a whole bunch of smileys in a row or something! I have also ridden and do ride many different types of bikes. I love them all. I do not want to be a bad guy or difficult. That is the LAST thing I'm about. I just like to make a stand when I read 3 or 4 threads with these same gestures in one night. Especially after I had already pissed off EASY earlier... And felt the wrath. Don't want to do things like that. I do sincerely apologize for urinating in one's flakes of corn here. My whole intention on any motorcycle forum is to express my concern for all biker's safety and help when I can. That's all....
