A funny story for you guy's

A few weeks ago I was going through town and I pulled up to a Traffic light and a big, no more like ridiculously huge

motorcycle pulled up along side me in the other lane, I look over and and there is a man driving, woman on the back with no

helmets no nothing protective on, but that is another story. Anyways when I look over at them the woman on the back looks

down at my little bike and laughs and leans up and says something to the man on the front and then he kinda laughed. So right

before the light turns green I look over at her and say at least I am not riding on the back of someone else's bike, she had this

mad look on her face as I drove away.

I thought that was a pretty funny story, you guy's may not think so, but i laughed for a couple of blocks.

P.S. I am obviously an Idiot because just under this section there is a section called "Humor" and i put a "Humorous" story

in the one right above it. So I guess the avatar I picked for myself is more appropriate than I thought.

Later :rawk:

Seriously, bigger is not always better. I'm sure he wasn't getting 70 mpg. My motto is, it may be small, but I didn't have to take out a second mortgage for it, and it's making its own payments just by saving me gas money!! So, to all those who think that their 1500 is better than my 250 just because it's a 1500, I say :neener:

Amen brother. The funny thing is one of my sisters is one of those "bigger is better people". She just bought a 1500 doesn't even get 40 miles to the gallon. Haha!!!!

Not sayin that I wouldn't like to have a little bigger bike but if I ever have to get one with a engine as big as a small car I think
I will just get the car.

Size Matters?

There is a bike for every purpose. I have three, including an aircraft carrier sized HD Street Glide. It IS (IMO) a better touring bike than the GZ. The GZ (IMO) IS a better commuter bike. It is what it is.

It's not what you ride, it is the ride. I don't discriminate against anyone who has the cajones to ride.

Just the opinion of another old fart.

Agreed, the GZ isn't the best bike for every purpose, but it's irritating to come into contact with people who DO descriminate against those of us who choose to ride a small bike, just because it's small and that think a bigger engine makes them better. This carries over to autos of the 4-wheel variety, too. How many mustang drivers look down on the escort drivers because they aren't packing a 5.0L?

You are lucky.
A biker should NEVER dis. another biker's ride......or his bike either!

You did both in one short sentence. You're lucky you didn't get a butt kicking........and the guy might have gotten in a few licks too!!

I ride a GZ because I like the bike. I can't help the guys that have a small johnson. All the horsepower in the world ain't gonna make it get bigger. There are buttholes everywhere. They aren't worth your time, anger, or raising your blood pressure over. Just smile and make them wonder what the hell you're up to!

It's the same with ATGATT. Some do, some don't. In the end, it's all about freedom of choice.

Be safe and happy brother!

And by the way I wasn't trying to down people with bikes this big when i said this quote above, I was sort of downing people that think that if you don't ride a big @ss bike, you ain't riding, Like my sister.

I personally think if you are on a scooter a goldwing or anything in between you are taking the same risk as me and everyone else on two wheels. You are feeling the same wind in your face, the same relaxing ride down a pretty country road. And your right there is a bike for every type of riding, I just don't happen to do the type that requires a large cc bike. If I did I sure wouldn't diss someone else for riding a different or smaller or cheaper or uglier bike. What you ride is your buisness.

And as for getting my butt kicked for dissing "his ride and his ride", your right I probably should have been the bigger person and not said anything, but I did and I thought it was funny considering the source of my ridicule being someone that wasn't even driving a motorcycle. Plus if I had a dollar for every time my mouth got me in trouble, I would need a bigger wallet.

Agreed.... I to ride a GZ because i just like the bike an it is very suitable for this area.. i am 30 miles away from the nearest freeway.. every place i need to go is in a highway with 55 mph limits .. every place i want to go is also on some fine twisted roads .. so the GZ is ideal.. I could have a Gold wing or a BMW or HD ..but the GZ for my purposes fits the bill (besides I am ver frugal.. wife calls it cheap... )
