Re: What camera do you carry when riding?

I should have known. That'll teach me to read my own threads.

Minolta G400

Love it.

I've had good experiences with Canons too. Though I thought the menus were a bit complex.

I used to sell digital cameras.

Re: What camera do you carry when riding?

Nikon 5700 It's fat and its probably worth more than my GZ250. Takes fabulous photos.

I also have a Kodak C633 its cheap small and can be carried in a pocket or belt case for easy access. Its got more memory than the Nikon and is a higher resolution but it just isn't as good as the Nikon. It takes good photos and its very easy to use.

I have been known to have both.

Re: What camera do you carry when riding?

I bought a cheap digital camera to take picture of bike and bike-tour.
Um, it was on labor day sale at the Fry's Electronics.
Model is Samsung S860 (about $70 ??, don't remember, or $79...).
I choose this because of the price and size.
It is a quite small figure that can be fit in small pocket.
I didn't expected the picture quality, but works with reasonable quality.
Can take 8M pixels picture, movie mode (640x480), and etc, etc.....
I bought a 4G SD card ($18) for this camera, this sd memory can be used for my computer too.
It saves about 1000 8M pixel pictures, pretty good space.
Satisfied.
All the pictures I posted here is with this camera.

Re: What camera do you carry when riding?

I for got about the 1 mega pixel camera I have in my phone. It doesn't take very good photos but its always in my pocket.

Now if I can just get my self to remember that I have it. I missed a great shot of the Tallahassee police stopping an old fat guy riding his bicycle through down town wearing nothing but a thong. I forgot all about the camera.

Re: What camera do you carry when riding?

Hey Badbob, that is kinda like me two days ago. I literally saw a Motorcycle up on the second floor balcony of this seedy motel here in Hot springs, there is no elevator, not even sure if you could get a good sized bike on a motel elevator, but anyways he had to have rode that thing up a flight of motel stairs, and it was at least a 750cc bike. I am going to try to get a picture of it this weekend. You never seem to have a camera when you need one.

A dual sport will climb stairs easy. I can't even imaging getting a GZ up stairs.

I for get I even have a camera. Years of not having one breeds a habit.

This was NOT a dual sport, it was a big ass cruiser, and even crazier I went by there today, and it had moved. So he must be bringing it up and down every time he goes somewhere.
