It's all good,the more the better. I would save a lot of trouble and time if I covered the basics first

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. After checking the fuses, connections, etc, we finally found the problem. The wiring harness coming out of the Stator had dropped down and was rubbing against the drive chain. The end result was a broken wire. A couple of butt connectors and a little black tape and he is back in business. Other than idling issues associated to what I believe is a dirty carb.
