Carburetor issues

My 2001 bike had the bottom hose on the carburetor fall off. I figured out where it goes to on the carburetor itself but can’t seem to find where it goes on the engine or bike itself. Can someone plz explain what it is and where it goes?

Is it a California model or not?

Overflow, goes down the back of the gearbox and drips there if the float is stuck.

If the standard carb, it does not attach to anything. It is a drain tube for overflow as Pherson has pointed out.
