dies after going up a hill

So.. my wasn't running for a while so I reversed everything I did. I somehow got it running.
No it starts up fine and rides normal at first. But whenever I go up this big hill in my neighborhood it dies after I get over the top. It revs really low then stops then goes really high. And it keeps doing it. Today that happened so I coasted down the hill and parked it in my driveway. I had my dad come out to hear it. When I first revved it it was weird but quickly went back to normal.
What's going on?

Re: dies after going up a hill

Could be several things but first to mind comes a leak in the vacuum hose so your engine is not getting enough fuel.

Check if it runs more normal when you put the petcock on "PRI" (handle points down). Do NOT leave it on PRI when the engine is off - you could come back to a puddle of gasoline, or bike ashes.

Could be other things too, like you are almost out of gas, someone else will probably chime in.

Thanks for the info!
I just rode it again. Looks like it's just a certain amount of time before it dies out. Not because the hill

Did you have a vac leak?

Don't forget to consistently use carb cleaner on the GZ

Might also be a plugged gas cap vent or tank vent hose not allowing the tank to vent. A gradual vacuum will build up in the tank.
