im confused please help
I am new to the forum and have searched but with no luck.
I have. 05 GZ250 there is a lot of oil in the stator cover. I understand this should be a dry stator. I tore it down and found the seal on the crank was bad. When I called my local dealer they said "there is no such seal, its a wet stator" can somebody help me with this? I pulled the seal and got side tracked over the holidays and now cant find the seal to match it up. Does anybody have a part number? Even if it is a wet stator I pulled a seal out and it was there for a reason. Thanks Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Well then maybe they were right. Still there is a seal there infront of a covex washer and behind the stator that is missing. I can clean the stator and it runs fine and then after a few seconds of ru ning it gets covered in oil and will not run worth a flip.

Re: im confused please help
Thank you so much!! I would have never thought to look under "starter" for that seal. Now can someone tell me what I need to do to get the bike to run? It runs great when the stator stays dry but as soon as the oil hits it it dies out and will not run.
Thanks just ordered the seal. Login or Register to Remove Ads |
