I changed my oil at around 200 miles and was glad I did. The oil filter was gray with metal shavings. I used Suzie dino oil till 1500 miles and am trying Mobil 1 motorcycle oil. After the bike is ran for an hour or so it doesnt shift worth a crap. I had used Rotella T full sythetic diesel oil and had the same problem. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

If you're using motorcycle specific oil then I don't know what to tell you. Normally, we get complaints about clutch slippage with car oil but I've not heard anyone complain about motorcycle specific oil causing these problems.
Anyone else?? |

Other than that, I've noticed that the GZ transmission is "tighter" than any other bike I've ever owned....about 12. It takes some conscious effort to get good shifts. I serioiusly doubt that ANY kind of oil will make it any better. If you go back to dino, it may be worse.

On the oil changes: Suzuki Dino here, changed oil and filter at 60 miles: a few metal shavings in the filter, and 1100 miles: nothing visible in the filter.
