New owner of a 99 GZ250

Hello all! ! Glad to find a forum about this bike

I just bought this badboy and I will start restoring it this week. Its been sitting on a backyard patio for several years out in this desert of Las Vegas. So first thing is getting tank & carb cleaned and try to get the motor running.......

The tank was nasty and I found leaves in the cockpit! ! Wtf? Ha ha. Got the fuel system cleaned and sprayed some lube in cylinder and cranked her over for the first time in 3 yrs. I'm very happy. Engine sounds very healthy.

There are very very few things in life as satisfying as taking something that was once junk and giving it new life, especially when there's an engine involved. Awesome.
