Bear hunting.

We went for an afternoon drive to shoot some black bears. Camera only of course. Kinda rainy and very overcast so the bears were out in numbers for a fresh moist salad of greenery. We saw all sizes of bears from a hugable cub to a really really big one that scared the life out of us. Didn't get a pic of the big one as Lynda didn't think we would meet a bear in town and charging across the street to get away from the traffic and noise.
Anyways, here are a few pics of various bears and Lynda using a decent digital SLR with a nice zoom for close-ups.

Re: Bear hunting.

Down here we go alligator hunting.

The last 2 pics are in Wakulla State Park where they made the Johnny Weismuller Tarzan movies and The Creature From the Black Lagoon. Lots of gators there.

Re: Bear hunting.

Cool shots of the bears WW. I've never seen a shot of the ski jumps when they were not covered in snow. Cool pics all around. Looks like a nice outing. Glad the big bear didn't get you.

mrlmd1, I never knew that's where they filmed the old Tarzan movies, love those Cypress trees. I don't think I'd want to swim anywhere near that big lizard with teeth in your shot.

Re: Bear hunting.

That sounds like a good start to a country music song.

That's like "do not sweat the petty things and do not pet the sweaty things".

Sorry, had to post that.
