Friction zone impact on clutch?

I found the following video about friction zone impact on the clutch.

How applicable to the GZ250?

Not much of a problem on the G.Z. Most Motorcycles use a "wet clutch" meaning that the clutch is lubricated by oil.(The main reason you can't use oil with friction modifiers in it.) Some of the bigger bikes use a "dry clutch" much the same as in a car. A wet clutch dosen't get hot like a dry clutch & can stand more slipping and abuse.

Good informative vid and a good comment from Blaine. A wet clutch(oil lubricated and cooled)will last a long time even with a little abuse. For tight maneuvers and parking lot exercises the clutch will do fine as long as you do not run super high revs while using the friction zone. If you are old school like I was and feared burning up a clutch just remember it is oil cooled and will live. Bikes are a lot easier to ride with proper use of the friction zone and dragging the rear brake while doing slow speed exercises.
