02 gz250 future owner?

I've been using my GZ250 to commute about 140 miles a day. I know it's tough on the little engine but I only paid $1200 for it so I'm not too worried. I was paying $700 a month to commute that far in my jeep. I figure if the bike lasts at least 2 months I'll have already saved money. I think someone your size might be a little cramped on it. I'm only 5'7" and my legs start feeling cramped pretty quick.

Your thoughts

My thoughts. It won't work for long. The bike will get to be very uncomfortable in a short time due to your physical size. It will be underpowered and leave you frustrated and tired of always having to really ride and plan ahead for the simplest task on the road. A 500 V-twin or vertical twin would be a good/better choice. Get something physically big enough to be comfy on for a longer ride.

If you're talking straight back roads, go for it.
The bike will be a little physically small for you though.
