How do you cut your fenders for bobbers?

I'm interested in cutting my front and rear fenders and seen the post where people have made them into bobbers, but I was wondering how did you outline it? Did they or you eye it out and just cut to hope it comes out perfect? Also how do you go about cutting the rear? Thanks.

Check my post on my bobber project with pics, may visually give you some ideas. With the fender chop, I used a small trailer fender, but modified it heavily.

Hey thanks for the reply but I did check out your fenders and your build before, you don't have a fender. You removed the whole thing. It's ok, i'm gonna sell the bike soon anyways!
