Re: Skullsplitter from ITALY

The GZ is an excellent choice to learn on and take the exam. Your buddies are probably more experienced riders and have bigger bikes. One day you will probably want something bigger, but you can learn a lot and go pretty far on a GZ. Give yourself 3000 miles before you start looking.

Ciao.

Welcome Skullsplitter. The GZ is a very good choice. As a new rider you do not want a bike that will overwhelm you. Give yourself time and lots of kilometers/miles to develop safe riding habits and just enjoy the bike for what it is.

Welcome from me too. Your bike will be a European spec., like mine. The carb etc is set up different to the American Marauders, so be a bit careful when you read what they've done to improve performance. Your bike should out-perform the American bikes, straight from the showroom. Is your bike new or used?

I've had my Marauder for well over two years now, and had no problems whatsoever. Only thing is, I've found that the Marauder LOVES the occasional dose of carb cleaner or fuel additive, to keep it running sweet.

I hope your English is up to this reply. If there's anything you don't understand, just ask again. :2tup:
