I am a former freeway chicken. Seriously pertrified of the 4 lane. Like Patrick said, give it some time, you'll get more comfortable. I like it better on my bigger bike, but I am much more comfortable now even on the GZ now on the highway. In my case, I just got more frustrated with traffic lights and forced myself to get out there and do it. FWIW I only have about 5500 total bike miles.
