Compare, GZ250, GV250, Kymco, Rebel, Virago,

This is an interesting review from Cruiser Mag. because it uses new riders as the reviewers.
It also gives you some interesting facts about all the little 250 cruisers out there.

Re: Compare, GZ250, GV250, Kymco, Rebel, Virago,

I read that the Rebel has the capability of upgrading the alternator output by simply adding a different part, I saw this on a website with the part# listed, then you could use heated gear without problems, I saw a new Rebel with the engine guard, it was much better than the one for the Gz. after I got mine I was angry I spent so much on it, the Rebel guard is much better, sturdy enough for hwy pegs. The Gz's is flimsy.

Upgrading the rebel electrical with one part sounds a little fishy. A better stator to produce power is needed and then you will have to upgrade most if not all other parts of the charging system.
As for the crash bars, after market stuff is probably better in most cases. The Zuk bars are for decoration only. Lynda hangs her disc lock on the bottom of the bars when riding.
