This is preventative maintenance. It would make a big difference if the air box eventually filled and soaked the air filter. You would have all sorts of oil and engine mung being sucked into the carb and engine.

Forks? Like what the tires are attached to? Why would you have to remove those to change the oil?

suncross go ahead and drain the forks without removing them and let me know how that goes. :tongue: there is no drain plug so u have to turn them upside down to remove all the oil. so unless you had a crane or are strong enough to flip the bike upside down then you v to remove them :lol: need pics?

Engine oil right? So there is only one way in, and one way out? Through the top? I was thinking about changing my oil myself, but if I have to take the forks off my bike, I think id rather pay someone to do it.

Sorry if I came off as rude. I just don't know anything about this sort of stuff.

I think somebody is on the wrong page here.If you are talking about changing engine oil,that has nothing to do with the forks.If you are talking about the forks,they take a special fork oil.
