Just been & measured.

14" back to front
11½" top to bottom
4½" deep

Note that they actually touch the exhaust pipe, so an aluminium or steel heat shield is essential. Don't know where they came from. The bike shop guy threw them in with the sale of the bike. They usually throw in something, over here, as a "thank you" for buying from them, but there's no name on them, so I don't know the manufacturer.

Thanks alantf & blaine for tips!

@alantf ... I am tempted to fit the Solid box too. Where do U get it & what is price range?

Thanks again for your kind help.

Sorry, can't help you on that - I'm in Spain. Perhaps one of our American members can come in at this point.

Looks like a Shad 46 liter top box. Alantf will correct me if I'm wrong. Have one on my Vstrom and it is a decent product. There are also a bunch of cheaper boxes on Ebay that will do the deed as well. If you will not be riding 2 up then you could mount the top box in place of the passenger seat and have a rider's backrest. Did this with a 28 liter box on Lynda's GZ and she loved it.

Re: Will this Saddle bag fit?

Yup - it's a shad 46. It's a good box. I ride 2 up, & my missus reckons it's more comfortable than a padded backrest. :2tup:
