Dead dash

EDIT: I'm pretty sure it's broken...what is the best place online to get a replacement?

I got the other end of the cable off (by the wheel)

I turned the end with a screwdriver and saw that the other end wasnt spinning and pulled out a little piece. It looks like the piece is made this way but obviously if its not tight enough to the cable, it cant spin it:

Ideas on what to do next?
