Perhaps, but lets face it: Its far more likely that a gasket is bad than there being an actual HOLE somewhere in the carb. At least that's what I would imagine...

It is a hole in the carb i figured it out by my self and they said that they may be able to fix it but id rather have a new one for safe feeling on my side so im going to buy one and my dads going to help me put it on . But as for the dealer thing it could go either way some are good and some are not.

Just to nitpick on your generalization, SOME dealers are indeed demons.

I'm not questioning your findings. But unless someone drilled a hole in the body of the carb, I just don't see how that's possible. You're just never going to have any kind of impact under there that could cause damage like that, unless it was intentional.

No? Well what would you call it then? :??:

Let it go please.

Metal castings are not perfect. There are sometimes bubbles that later become holes.......or pipes press-fitted into a hole that work loose because of vibration. Though not common, there are LOTS of ways a carb. can fail that are not (easily) repairable.

The hole could be possibly from a poor casting from Day 1.

For the record, I'm usually a little wary of dealers who want to sell me a new unit of one kind or another.
