Welcome, you have found "The place to be for all things GZ". But why do you think you look dumb on it.

I Haven't actually met anyone that is on here but from the descriptions most of them give of themselves, "Including me" I am

6'1" about 200lb's, I think you just described in the height and/or weight department you just described most of the people on

here.

What you look like on your bike really only matters to you. Just some "food for thought".

Gotta ask: Why do you need a new carb ? That's not an item that "wears out" too often. :)

Praterjack 07-05-2008 03:28 PM

I need the carb because it got a vacume leak in an odd spot and the dealer said it would be more cost efficient on me if i bought a whole carb.

Well of course the dealer told you that... they probably make more money off replacing a carb than rebuilding one. Are you having them replace it, or are you going to do it yourself?

All dealers are not demons.

His statement about the leak being in an odd place, leads me to believe that there is a HOLE somewhere in the BODY of the carb......as opposed to a leaking gasket or similar........something that might turn out to be not repairable. Under those circumstances, I think I'd want a new one too.

Just to nitpick on your generalization, SOME dealers are indeed demons.

...it's all in good fun.
