Re: Looking for a bike, what years to avoid....
I got a 2000 GZ that had 3900 miles on it. It sat for a couple of years so I had to do a good bit to it. If you are a do it yourself person, you can whip it into shape pretty cheaply. I have about...

Re: Open face helmets
Just wear some safety ( or other ) glasses when riding in an open face helment. A hit in the eye by a bug would hurt like crazy and probably blind you and put you in the ditch.

I just saw this post, and I have the SpitFire windshield on my Geezer. I like it a lot. It's easy to install and easy to remove. I didn't even have to look hard at the instructions ( Instructions? I...

Re: Jumper posts
Well, the large wire nuts over the bolts do cover the terminals. I didn't think about someone tampering with them. I will put an inline fuse on though.

Jumper posts
When I got my bike, I had to jump it off to start it ( the battery was shot). So here is what I did.
On the battery cover on the right side, I drilled two 1/4 inch holes 4 inches apart just after...

Re: New from South Carolina
Well, it did sit up for a couple three years. I guess it was the age and not the mileage. Some of it was done for peace of mind, and some because it needed it. But hey, a little under a grand...
