Doesn't that put a terrible strain on the front forks and triple tree because of the leverage, especially if you ride over a big bump? How often do those extended forks get bent or are they strong enough so that never happens?

The kit totally replaces the stock triple tree and is engineered for the addtional stress. Same with the over length tubes. Tube wall thickness increases and material strength increases with length.

I never had a bending issue although I hit some whopper sized bumps and potholes. I guess it's possible though.

As the fork length increases, the side to side deflection increases and in turns you can actually see the tire move out of center between the tubes. This puts stress on the axle/bearings.

I added a fork brace to stop that deflection. Problem solved.

It was fun to own a full blown chopper once (owned for 8+ years), but my HD is the epitomy of comfort. As I get older, that is one of my riding priorities.

I know it's not your bike, and it's a bit flat as shown with 8" tubes, but with 10's or 12's, it could be really ht.

What a deal for $1700!!
