Wear your helmet!

I received this in an email a while back and think I just figured out how to download and post the pictures here. It's pretty graphic, but instructional too.

A truck was traveling down the highway at ~ 1 AM near Tulsa Oklahoma.
Motorcyclist was traveling at ~ 120 mph and ran into the back of the semi truck.
Truck driver said he felt the impact, and it took almost a half mile for him to pull over.
This is what he found.

He lived.

Oh my God.

There is no way that dude is alive....

This is why some people shouldn't have high powered sports bikes.

Yeah, I am from Tulsa and that was not to long ago,we also had a man and woman hit a semi on the side they both died as they didn't have any head protection on.I'd say about 95% of sport bike riders wear a helmet around here but only 10% of Cruisers were one.

Yep, some of the many photos found on ridetodie.com..........warning: don't go to that site unless you're ready to see some graphic images, it's not for the easily-rattled. I go there every once in a while just to remind myself what can happen to those of us who stop paying attention. Be safe out there everyone.
Ride safe

Damn. Just, damn.

I know it happens, but still--seeing it just brings it to the forefront of my mind. Looks like he was wearing all the right gear, but all the right gear won't save you from making poor choices. A fight between a semi and a bike is not going to be fair, no matter what speed.
