Toni the Greek

A visitor to a small Greek island was walking along the cliffs, when he came across an old Greek crying his eyes out. "What's the matter, old man?" he asked. The old man looked up, and told him his tale....

"You see that town down there? Well, when I first came here it was nothing but a collection of mud huts. I designed the modern town that you see now, but do they call me "Toni the architect"?... No. Then I realised that the people were so poor that they couldn't afford to eat, so I took my money and built that harbour down there, so that they could go fishing and catch fish to eat, but do they call me "Toni the harbour builder"?...No. Then I realised that they had no boats to go fishing in, so I built that magnificent fleet of fishing boats that you can see, but do they call me "Toni the boat builder"?...No. Fish alone is no good, so I planted those fruit trees and vegetables that you can see down there, but do they call me "Toni the farmer"?...No. But once - just once - they catch me shagging the sheep............"
