First Bike, loving it!
Hello everyone, I just bought my first bike. A 2000 GZ250 with only 10,000 miles!! Completed my motorcycle safety course and looking forward to many years on it! Everyone keeps telling me that its too small and I will be looking for a bigger one before long, but I seem to enjoy this one right now and am very happy to find this site and such a large group of GZ fans! :2tup:

Welcome DieHard. The GZ is an excellant 1st bike and the ideal size to develop your riding skills. Try not to outgrow it too soon eh.

Re: First Bike, loving it!
Welcome to the forum DieHard and congrats on your bike! Everyone told me the same thing about outgrowing my bike. This is my second riding season with 2300 miles since last May. I am still improving my skills and the GZ allows me to do that safely and with confidence. Like WW says, take your time. There is so much to learn. The GZ handles great and has great mileage. Those are additional reasons why I decided to wait yet another season before I upgrade to a bigger bike. Still don't know if I will be able to part with my GZ "the Beast" when that time comes. Enjoy and ride safe!

Thanks Guys, I am in the military and headed to Germany this fall. I figured the GZ was a perfect place to start especially with no experience and headed overseas. Eventually I want a touring bike, Goldwing or similar. But we all start somewhere
