$300 to spend...?
Ok... So I MAY have an extra $300 coming to me in the next few weeks. What mods should I do??? I already have a spitfire windshield, and leather saddlebags (came with the bike). I am considering getting the tourmaster cruiser 3 bags. What else should I consider???
Edit... Forgot to mention that I have a 16t sprocket on the way already!

Re: $300 to spend...?
I hate to sound like a broken record but safety is always a concern. Invest in a copy of Proficient Motorcyling and riding lessons if you haven't already done so. You will probably have $ left over for gas and a hamburger.
If you have already done so then good for you. You might want to get grip heaters for chilly rides. Symtec makes nice reliable products that are easy to install and don't cost a bunch. |

Re: $300 to spend...?
Thanks WW... I've taken the Riders Safety Course offered here in PA and been riding for about a year. I'm always on the lookout for ways to stay safe. But, I was thinking along the lines of accessories or modifications to the bike. The heated handgrips are going to be on my list of possibilities.
I saw this post http://www.gz250bike.com/forum/viewt...hp?f=34&t=2754 and thought the LED's he put on (the blue ones) looked awesome. Makes the bike look like a million bucks at night. :2tup:

Re: $300 to spend...?
Maybe invest some cash in the rider. Plan an overnighter and treat yourself to a fun weekend traveling. Buy a T-shirt as a reminder of the weekend.

Re: $300 to spend...?
I've ridden in 18 degree temps here in PA and never needed heated grips or gloves. Its all about getting good thick gloves and keeping the cold air out. Spend that $300 on something for yourself. Get a really good leather jacket with removable liner .... pair of chaps ... something that you normally wouldn't buy but will use the crap out of.

Do you have engine guard (crash bars)? If not, invest in a set. :2tup:

Re: $300 to spend...?
MC Enterprises engine guard/crash bar - about $160 or so on Ebay, then you still have plenty of money left over for a headlight and breaklight modulator. Maybe some armored riding pants for the cold to go along with the jacket and gloves.
Safety is first. |

Re: $300 to spend...?
I'd save it for gas.
