I remember 1200 baud modems. Had a couple. That was well before the inet days. I ran a BBS for many years. I remember the jump to 9600 baud and screens appeared "instantly" or so we thought. lol

300 baud yay! And cassette tape drives. I was on a number of bbs and it was great fun. I can't remember the name of that one free computer mag that used to have all the bbs numbers listed in the back, because of course you couldn't look them up on the internet.

The Computer Paper? My kids don't believe me when I tell them about 1200baud modems and looking up BBS's in a magazine!
