AAhhh Hello - Tom, from Detroit and this is great!
My name is Tom W., I'm live in Ferndale Michigan (a suburb just north of Detroit,) and after over 30 years of not riding I bought my GZ from my son.
I am having a great time with it - with the help from the people on gz250.com of course. Gosh, my last bike was a Honda 305 Scrambler about umm 1970? I have an American version, 2005 (so it has the "twin combustion chambers",) and when I got the bike the exhaust and intake were set up for "California Emissions". I'm looking forward to posting my experience with modification of the exhaust, intake, and maybe make things easier for the next guy/girl. So far I have changed the sprocket to 16 tooth, K&N air filter, carb mods - (lifted needle jet, and changed main jet) did some opening up of the exhaust, added a tachometer, installed a windshield, saddle bags, and modded the air filter box cover (sharkmouth!) and screened the exhaust just because I could! Everything has come out AWESOME so far and having a good time! More power, I can go shopping, I can blow down the freeway, (+75) Love it! (no I'm not gonna marry it lol.) Some misunderstanding about terminology here. (probably mine )I thought twin dome WAS the mod, i.e. 2 domes in the head instead of one. I thought the two exhaust thing was "twin port". :??:
