New owner & rider from Massachusetts
Hi Everyone; I took the MSF BRC course a few years back and got discouraged looking for a bike and not finding one. Back on June 15th I found a blue 2003 GZ250 and bought it! :2tup: For the first few weeks I just rode around the neighborhood; we're somewhat separated from the rest of the town which is nice. A couple weeks ago I finally left our neighborhood and ventured out, but it has been during the least busy times like early morning or around 7PM. Last week I went for a ride in the afternoon up to my parents house which is a couple towns away and last weekend I went for a much longer ride; about 30+ miles. Had a great time and can't wait to feel more comfortable riding in more traffic. I know it will come in time as I ride more....

Re: New owner & rider from Massachusetts
imo this is the best learners bike there is. one night following my girl we were merging on to the highway, im leaned over had with the throttle open. she brakes (for no apparent reason :cuss: ) and i panic and lock thr brakes. bike does not fuss or slide just stoped and its almost like it said " edan be more careful next time" and the light weight of the bike will be a huge help to you :2tup:

Welcome to the forum from South Carolina. Since it's been a few years you should consider taking a refresher of the MSF BRC. Ride safe.
